Airports
The region hosts two international airports, both located just outside the capital. Fiumicino and Ciampino handle over 50 million passengers annually, with a 22.6% growth rate. Leonardo da Vinci Airport (Fiumicino) is Italy’s leading airport and ranks first in Europe for passenger satisfaction.
Port
The Port of Civitavecchia is Italy’s leading cruise hub, ranking second in Europe after Rotterdam and seventh in the world for passenger traffic, with nearly 5 million passengers annually. It also handles just under 10 million tons of cargo each year.
Lazio ranks first among Italian regions for the number of sea-related businesses—over 35,000 companies—employing 150,000 people and generating more than €8 billion in added value.
Train Stations
There are two main railway stations, both centrally located. Termini and Tiburtina offer high-speed rail services that ensure fast and frequent connections to major Italian and European cities
